At Technoport Summit (17-18 April) world leading researchers, business leaders, entrepreneurs and politicians will gather to share knowledge and discuss how technology can play a part in the transition towards the green economy. Researchers from the previous two conference days will present what is achievable through science and technology, while business leaders and politicians will present their ambitions and efforts. How can governments, research communities and business work together for best possible results?
Technoport Summit consists of Technoport Talks, that are meant to spread great ideas and inspiring research and technological possibilities to a wide audience. These presentations have duration of 15 minutes each and will be held onstage from a podium. Speakers will share their visions for a greener future and their ideas on how to get there. The talks will be filmed and published on the Technoport Talks website http://www.technoport.no/talks and via YouTube in order to engage wide debate. Technoport arrange several Technoport Talks events during the year. At the Technoport 2012- Sharing Possibilities conference Technoport Talks wil be held during the Technoport Summit.

More than 800 students from NTNU’s compulsory master program course Experts in Teamwork have joined in teams working on projects relevant to Technoport and the UN Rio conference (Rio+20) in June 2012. The teams are working on problems and challenges for industry and public organizations. We have named the projects Technoport Mission Rio and will invite 100 students to take part in the Technoport Students exhibition 18 April. The students will exhibit their projects’ results.
The Technoport 2012 Conference will have a special focus towards the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development, which is to take place in Rio de Janeiro June 2012. It is our aim to be a significant scientific voice, sharing knowledge and possibilities with the rest of the world.
