Two side events will be organized in affiliation with Technoport 2012:
1. DECARBit: Zero emission pre-combustion power plants
On Monday April 16th 12:00-16:00 the Transition Technologies session organizes a parallel session on the DECARBit project: Zero emission pre-combustion power plants. This session will take place at Hotel Rica Bakklandet.

2. How could a bridge construction increase the potential for utilization of renewable energy?
On Thursday April 19th 10:00-16:00 the project Coastal Highway Route E39 (The Norwegian Public Roads Administration) invites to a workshop on “How could a bridge construction increase the potential for utilization of renewable energy?”. The workshop will take place at Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel and participation is free of charge.
A feasibility study to assess the accessible energy potentials from various sources is being carried out by SP, Norconsult and Rambøll. The study is divided into two topics:
- Feasibility study for renewable energy associated with wave/current and tidal energy.
- Feasibility study for renewable energy associated with wind and sun.
The result from feasibility studies will be presented at the workshop in two separate sessions.
The main objective of the workshop is to gather some of the brightest minds from research institutes, universities and industry in the field of renewable energy to discuss technical issues, challenges and potential concerning the above mentioned topics.
